Default My new build (feedback apreciated)

I was getting tired of Crippling slash, so I decided to create a new build. This will be used for PvE, especially GW:EN, and I was wondering what do you lot think of it?

- Swordsmanship: 16
- Tactics: 11
- Strength: 7

1. "For Great Justice!"
2. Enraging Charge
3. Dragon Slash (E)
4. Galrath Slash
5. Final Thrust
6. Heal Sig
7. "Watch Yourself!"
8. Rez

1. D-Slash+FT on the same bar is a BIG nono. Drop FT, IMO.

2. No Flail. You NEEEDZZ Flail in PvE. No exceptions.

3. IMO, bring either Watch Yourself or Healing Signet. I try not to bring both at the same time. Some people may disagree, but hey... I don't like them on the same bar much.

4. Needs moar DW. Bring Sever-Gash instead of Galrath-Final. Then bring S&M Slash bcoz it rox.

5. I honestly think bringing FGJ and EC is redundant. Bring one or the other. You do have Dragon Slash after all.

Final Bar should look like this:

Dragon Slash
Sever Artery
Gash
Sun and Moon Slash
FGJ/EC
Flail
Watch Yourself/Healing Signet
Res.

I think a Dlash-Galrath-Silverwing can be very viable. It's damage output is unmatchable. However if you're in areas where the monks are troublesome (like HM) then DW is necessary

I have adjusted my build:

1. "For Great Justice!"
2. Dragon Slash (or Crippling Slash for caster-heavy areas)
3. Sever Artery (can be replaced with Flail)
4. Gash
5. Thrill Of Victory
6. Heal Sig
7. "Watch Yourself!"
8. Rez

Less Thrill of Victory (it sucks! ), more Flail.

Quick bit of maths - a 33% attack speed boost, such as Flail, decreases the time between swings by 33%.
What this actually does is increase the number of attacks you do by 50%, consequently increasing adrenaline gain and damage by 50%, too.
IAS is stupid powerful, with Flail there's NO reason not to run one in PvE.

There's not really a big reason to run energy attacks on a dragon slasher, but like alex said, flail > all. Also, heal sig and watch yourself is probably overkill, since there's a monk behind you watching to make sure you don't get yourself killed anyway. I'd toss healing signet for standing slash or somesuch.

Meh, I'd rather have Soldier's Strike.
Actually, Protector's Strike.
No...
Wait!

A dragon slash build without sun and moon slash is a fail build.

You want Adrenaline?

Yeesh. Bring 3 stat points into Blood Magic and use Mark of Fury... Screw FGJ and Enraging Charge... If you can't even spare 3 points... Uh, wtf are you doing?

You're a Dragon Slash build, you DON'T NEED energy. If Mark of Fury is your only energy skill, then you're fine! [5e. come on, don't be cheap ^_^]

I'm with Karunpav with this mod to his build:

Sever Artery
Gash
Sun and Moon Slash
Dragon Slash {E}
Flail
Watch Yourself (party) / Healing Signet (tough level or dumb monks)
Mark of Fury
Res.

16 swords
9 Tactics (Flail doesn't need much str imho to be effective)
3-5 Blood Magic
leftovers to Strength

Your ONLY energy goes to Mark of Fury and with a recycle time of 10s. Every other foe should be dead when you use it..

the armor... plus you move slower with flail and take more damage with frenzy. soldiers stance gives a constant 33% with no negative, and when i use it my squishies all have 86 armor. well its constant after 4 attacks but still i really like it.

... yet it wastes your Elite slot.
The elite is what makes a build.

And you still need a cancel stance to catch kiters.

Soldier's Stance is a really, really horrible skill.

thats your opinion but i disagree not goin any further because you just dissed my favourite stance >.< lol jk but still its a good elite if you know how to use it.

im talking for hm extra armor is crazy helpful for the casters and if i did flail i wouldent catch the monsters attackin my casters and if i used frenzy they would spike me in 2 seconds so for its cost id say its the best attack speed skill a war can get. (otherwise it would just be a normal skill) also its the only skill that lets you attack faster without a long recharge, negative benifits, and the only way it can work is if you have a shout which rocks because most shouts benifit your whole team. not everything is about pure damage.

No, no, it really isn't.

If it provided a run speed buff as well, then... maybe.
But they'd have to nerf Eviscerate, DSlash and all the rest of the really kick ass warrior elites first.

i did not try to make it seem better it just is a great skill and thats that if it sucks for you then you are not using it in the right context so lets just stop with the attack on skills and help this guy with a better build or if thats already been done close the thread because this has gotten way off topic.

Except it's not a great skill.
It's a truly horrible excuse for a skill.
Untill it gets a real buff, there's absolutely no reason to run it. Ever.

And please, I'm not a cat.
I'm emo. Get it right.
